We are proud to announce that Suicide Prevention UK has been selected as a Charity of the Year partner by a local Marks & Spencer store – a powerful collaboration that will help raise vital awareness and funds for suicide prevention across the UK.
This exciting partnership means more than just fundraising. It reflects Marks & Spencer’s commitment to supporting mental health and wellbeing in the communities they serve. Over the coming months, M&S staff will be actively involved in awareness-raising, volunteering, and organising store-wide fundraising events — all in aid of our life-saving work.
A Shared Mission to Make a Difference
Suicide Prevention UK exists to support individuals in crisis and prevent suicide through proactive patrols, awareness campaigns, and a compassionate volunteer-led team. Being chosen by M&S demonstrates growing recognition for the essential work our teams carry out every day and night, often at the most critical moments in someone’s life.
Together with M&S, we’ll be working on:
- In-store fundraising days
- Staff-led initiatives (with paid leave to support our charity)
- Mental health awareness talks and training
- Opportunities for shoppers to support us at the checkout and beyond
Why It Matters
Every donation made through this partnership helps us keep our patrols active, expand our training programmes, and provide hope to those who may be feeling alone, overwhelmed, or on the edge. Suicide is preventable — and together, we can help ensure more people get the help they need, when they need it most.
We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff and management at Marks & Spencer for choosing to stand with us. Your belief in our mission will make a lasting difference.
How You Can Help
If you’re shopping in-store, keep an eye out for our donation points, special events, and SPUK team members. Every conversation, every pound raised, and every moment of support helps save lives.
